Mark Elyea has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mark began their career in the United States Air Force as a Weather Technician and served for over 20 years. Following their military service, Mark worked as a Computer Support Technician at Gateway, where they provided technical assistance to end-users. In this role, they designed, built, and provided daily administration for the Federal Aviation Administration's Business Intelligence Platform. Mark's accomplishments include building a complete Business Objects environment, configuring it for Secure Transport and Active Directory Single sign-on, and upgrading SAPJVM to support TLS1.

In 1999, Mark also obtained a certification in A+ Comptia from CompTIA.
