Maura Spalink

Maura Spalink currently serves as the Head of Visitor Service & Security at the Rijksmuseum, a role focused on protecting people, cultural heritage, and operational processes while striving to create a welcoming environment. In addition to this position, Maura is the Director of PP10 B.V. and holds the role of Treasurer for the ICOM International Committee for Museum Security. Previous experience includes a managerial role at UWV overseeing employer services, significant advisory work at Rieken & Oomen with a focus on strategic recruitment and diversity, and roles in healthcare management and project management for forensic marking initiatives. Maura's earlier career includes leadership positions at Randstad and the Amsterdam-Amstelland Police, following graduation from the Dutch Police Academy. Maura is currently furthering education at TIAS School for Business and Society and has completed various professional development courses in coaching and strategic HRM.
