Edwin van Welie

Edwin van Welie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement and contracting within the infrastructure and energy sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Inkoopadviseur at Rijkswaterstaat since January 2017, Edwin leads contracting strategy and European tendering for civil infrastructure projects. Prior roles include Senior Contracts Advisor at Shell, where Edwin supported large projects through tendering processes, and CP Lead for both Offshore Facilities and Linnorm in Norway, focusing on contracting strategies and procurement. Edwin's career began in 1991 at the Ministry of Defense and Aviation, with subsequent positions at KPN, HJ Heinz, and various roles at Shell Global Solutions, culminating in senior leadership positions. Edwin holds a degree in Economics and Legal from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
