Ellen Berkhout

Ellen Berkhout has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the TTO Coordinator and Teacher of English in Bilingual Education at Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim since December 2013. Previous roles include working as a Barkeeper at Café de Bonte Koe from June 2010 to August 2014 and teaching Dutch at the Language for All Centre, University of York, from October 2008 to June 2009. Ellen's academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in the World Teachers Training Programme, English from Leiden University, and an English Literature and Philology Master's from the same institution. Additionally, studies in the ResMA Study of Art and Literature focused on Literature, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Culture from Leiden University, underscore a strong foundation in both language and literary studies.
