Jesse van Rijn

Jesse van Rijn is an experienced educator specializing in Dutch language instruction, currently serving as a Docent Nederlands at Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim since 2008. Responsibilities include teaching both lower and upper secondary students, mentorship for 4/5 havo, section leadership, internship supervision, and curriculum and lesson material development. Additionally, since 2019, Jesse van Rijn has taken on the role of Externe assessor at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, conducting assessments for bachelor’s and master’s programs at the Instituut Archimedes. Previous experience includes a position as Docent Nederlands at Niftarlake College from 2007 to 2008 and serving as a Redacteur for Stichting NoPapers from 2003 to 2008, where responsibilities included editing a film agenda for the Agenda van Nederland. Academic qualifications include a BEd and MEd in Tweedegraads and Eerstegraads Lerarenopleiding Nederlands, respectively, from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
