Masayoshi Itoh

Senior Scientist

Masayoshi Itoh is a Senior Scientist at RIKEN, engaged in advanced research and development in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies. With a Ph.D. in Agriculture from Gifu University, Masayoshi has extensive experience including roles as a Senior Researcher and Unit Leader at RIKEN, focusing on transcriptomic analysis and NGS application technologies. Masayoshi has also served as a Visiting Professor at Juntendo University, teaching medical students in the Partner Graduate School for Clinical Omics Course. Previous roles include a Visiting Scientist at Helicos BioSciences and various postdoctoral positions at RIKEN and the National Food Research Institute. Currently, Masayoshi is involved in coordinating NGS technologies for medical applications while also contributing to scientific advancements in microbial manipulation and DNA engineering.
