Marek Szala

Marek Szala is an experienced software architect and engineer with a strong background in backend system design and development. Since May 2018, Marek has been a key member of the Platform team at RiksTV, focusing on the backend maintenance of products. Prior to this role, Marek worked at Microsoft from March 2015 to May 2018 on Microsoft Delve and the Outlook web access rewrite using React. Earlier experiences include tenure at UNIT4 R&D, where Marek contributed to ERP software modules, and Capgemini Poland, where implementation of payment transaction systems and web tools for insurance underwriting was undertaken. Marek holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, earned between 2003 and 2008. Key competencies include asynchronous C#, React, Redux, and TypeScript.
