Theo Carrel

Theo Carrel is an accomplished software engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in developing scalable platforms and applications. Currently serving as the Head of Platform at Rilla since May 2023, Theo previously held the title of CTO and Co-Founder at Beacon App, where a web and mobile event management platform was built for thousands of users. At Capital One, Theo designed and built services using Golang and Apache Kafka, and contributed to various software engineering projects since joining as an intern in 2019. Earlier experience includes iOS development at Cornell Daily Sun and technical assistance at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Theo holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, obtained in 2020.
