Marcos Mercuri Guillemi

Marcos Mercuri Guillemi has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development roles. Marcos is currently working as a Software Engineer at Rillet since January 2022. Prior to that, Marcos worked at Aula as an Engineering Manager from June 2021 to November 2021, and as a Senior Software Developer from April 2021 to June 2021.

Before joining Aula, Marcos held the position of Lead Consultant at ThoughtWorks from September 2020 to April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at ThoughtWorks from May 2017 to September 2020. During their time at ThoughtWorks, Marcos gained experience in different industries such as banking, property marketplace, retailer, and health care, helping clients improve their software delivery capabilities.

Marcos also worked at PackLink.com as a Senior Software Developer & Team Leader from November 2014 to March 2017. In this role, they were responsible for designing, developing, testing and continuously improving the carrier integration application. Marcos also led a team and guided an outsourced team.

Before joining PackLink.com, Marcos worked at Avature as a Software Developer from November 2013 to November 2014. Marcos was responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Avature CRM, working on one of its core modules.

Prior to that, Marcos worked at Despegar.com as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2012 to November 2013, and at GlobalLogic - Clarín as a Software Engineer from September 2008 to August 2012. At Despegar.com, they focused on development using Eclipse 3.6.x IDE. At GlobalLogic - Clarín, Marcos worked on the design, development, and stabilization of a classified ads application, primarily using Java and Adobe Flex.

Marcos started their career at C&S Informática S.A. as a Java Developer and later became a Lead Java Developer. During their time there from January 2006 to August 2008, they mainly worked on Java (J2EE) development for several customers and projects, and also took on team leadership responsibilities.

Throughout their work experience, Marcos has gained knowledge and skills in various programming languages and technologies such as Java, PHP, JavaScript, MariaDB, and Eclipse IDE.

Marcos Mercuri Guillemi obtained their Licentiate degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires. Marcos attended the university from 2002 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Marcos also holds certifications in "Distributed Data Patterns for Microservices" from Chris Richardson Consulting, Inc., which they obtained in January 2021, and "Cambridge English: First (FCE)" from the University of Cambridge, which they obtained in October 2001.
