Alex Medawar

Alex Medawar has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as an Engineer/Surveyor at Bureau Veritas, where they were responsible for inspections, monitoring, testing, and certification of equipment and materials. Alex also oversaw works at shipyards in the New Construction sector. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they served as an Intern at CEARA STEEL S/A. Since 2013, Alex has been with RINA, where they started as a Marine Surveyor/ISM & ISPS Auditor/MLC Inspector before being promoted to Head of Brazil Marine Operations in January 2020.

Alex Medawar completed their education from 2003 to 2008. Alex attended Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca and obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Alex also attended CEFET/RJ, where they earned a degree in Engenharia Industrial Mecânica (Industrial Mechanical Engineering).
