Kristi Birney

Kristi Birney is a seasoned professional in talent acquisition and development, currently serving as the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager at Rincon Consultants, Inc. since September 2023. With a strong foundation in career development, Kristi previously held the role of Director of Career Development and Alumni Relations at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, leading three graduate-level programs and managing a team to enhance student and alumni career success. Kristi has a diverse background in marine conservation and environmental management, including roles as Marine Conservation Director and Consultant at the Environmental Defense Center and as an Environmental Scientist for California State Parks. Kristi's educational background includes a Master of Environmental Science & Management from the Bren School and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Hawaii Pacific University.
