Principal Scientist at Ring Therapeutics

Dinesh Verma is a Principal Scientist at Ring Therapeutics, focusing on the development of non-immunogenic therapeutic viral vectors utilizing commensal anelloviruses with circular, single-stranded genomes since June 2021. Prior to this role, Dinesh served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Utah from November 2011 to June 2021, where investigation centered on the interactions of human cancer-causing herpesviruses, particularly Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated virus (KSHV), with host cells. Dinesh's earlier experience includes a Senior Post-Doctoral Fellow position at the University of Utah, emphasizing viral and cellular gene expression regulation, and a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Florida, during which a novel function of EBV SM protein was discovered. Dinesh Verma obtained a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and Microbiology from Panjab University and a Master’s Degree in Microbiology from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University.
