Yue Zhang

Senior Scientist, Protein Science at Ring Therapeutics

Yue Zhang is a Senior Scientist in Protein Science at Ring Therapeutics, where responsibilities include leading in-vitro encapsidation studies for Anellovirus VLPs and developing various assays for production tracking and verification. Prior to this role, Yue Zhang was a Visiting Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, focusing on the development of expression and purification methods for myristoylated human Arf1 and utilizing NMR and nanodisc technology to characterize its interactions. Early career experience includes research assistant roles at Mississippi State University, where Yue Zhang developed simulation methods for NMR measurements on intrinsically disordered proteins and modeled phase separation in elastin-like proteins. Academically, Yue Zhang holds a PhD in Chemistry and two master's degrees—one in Chemistry and another currently in progress in Computer Science. Additionally, Yue Zhang earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Beijing Institute of Technology.
