Alexander Theobald

Alexander Theobald (*1964) has been responsible for Operations and Business Development at Ringier since September 2014. As of 1 September 2016, he has also held the position of CEO of the Blick Group. Between 2010 and 2014, he headed the press wholesale division of Valora AG. During his previous employment at Ringier from 2004 to 2009, he served as a member of the group executive management. Initially, he was responsible for the Swiss magazine division and subsequently for the company’s operations in Hungary and Romania. Alexander Theobald was raised in Germany and Switzerland, where he studied humanities and graduated in 1992. After completing a training programme at the Axel Springer publishing house in Hamburg and Berlin, he held leading positions in the publishing industry in Switzerland.
