Virginia Demers

Virginia DeMers serves as the Director of the Writing Center and the Director of the Academic Resource Center at Ringling College of Art and Design since August 1992, providing individual consultations for writing projects and supervising a staff of student writing consultants. In addition, Virginia has been a College Writing Instructor at the same institution since 1992, teaching college composition and developing specialized curricula for diverse student populations. Prior to this role, Virginia instructed first-year composition and literature courses as an Adjunct Instructor at the State College of Florida from 1984 to 1993. Virginia holds a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Philosophy, and English from Vassar College.
