Samuli Kaappola

Samuli Kaappola has extensive experience in finance and business control. Samuli currently holds the position of CFO at Rinta-Joupin Autoliike Oy since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Adapteo Group from September 2019 to September 2022, where they served as Vice President of Business Control and Head of Business Control. In these roles, they were responsible for leading the business control function, preparing for the company's IPO, and integrating acquisitions.

Before joining Adapteo Group, Samuli worked at UPM Raflatac from July 2016 to September 2019, where they held the position of Senior Manager of Business Control. Their responsibilities included enhancing finance and business processes, financial forecasting, budgeting, and providing decision support to the management team.

Samuli also has experience working at UPM - The Biofore Company as Manager of Group Accounting and Reporting and Ahlstrom as a Financial Analyst in Group Controlling. Additionally, they worked at Metso as an Assistant Controller in Group Finance.

In terms of academic experience, Samuli worked as a Junior Lecturer and a Research Assistant at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku. Overall, Samuli has a strong background in finance and business control, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and decision support.

Samuli Kaappola's education history begins in 2006 when they enrolled at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku. Samuli pursued a degree in Accounting and Finance, completing the program in 2011. In 2008, they participated in the Nordplus Exchange Program at Linköping University.

Returning to their studies in 2017, Samuli attended the Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development for the Aalto Financial Executive Program.

Continuing their educational journey, Samuli enrolled at LUT University in 2018, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. This program is expected to be completed by 2023.
