Andrew Latham

Andrew Latham is an experienced professional in the mining and metals industry, currently serving as the Head of Group Business Development at Rio Tinto since September 2017. In this role, Andrew oversees global business development across various sectors, including iron ore, aluminium, and lithium. Prior to this, Andrew held multiple leadership positions within Rio Tinto, including Head of Group M&A and Managing Director of Rio Tinto Lithium. Andrew's background also includes a partnership at X2 RESOURCES LLP and a decade at Xstrata PLC, where responsibilities encompassed business development and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Andrew led the Metals and Mining Advisory Business for the Americas at Standard New York. Andrew holds a B Eng in Mining Engineering from London and Nottingham Universities.
