Anil Patel

Anil Patel is an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in signalling projects within the rail industry. Currently at Rio Tinto since February 2021, Anil specializes in delivering capital rail projects. Previously, as a Senior Signalling Engineer at Calibre Electrical Technologies, Anil contributed to the development of new mining infrastructure and a significant rail line extension. Anil has also held multiple Project Engineer roles at Rio Tinto and has extensive experience with the Autohaul® and T155 projects during tenure at Calibre Global. Earlier career highlights include key signalling engineering roles at Ansaldo STS Malaysia, focusing on train control system replacements and junction upgrades. Anil’s career began in the UK, where 17 years were spent with various companies including Balfour Beatty Rail Signalling, gaining comprehensive expertise in design and testing across diverse rail projects.
