Lawrence M. Dechambenoit

Lawrence M. Dechambenoit is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in external affairs and corporate relations, currently serving as the Global Head of External Affairs at Rio Tinto since 2013. Lawrence has held various leadership positions within the company, including Vice President for EMEA and Corporate Relations in Africa, and is a member of the Guinea Advisory Panel. In addition, Lawrence is a Board Member at Big Win Philanthropy, an independent foundation focused on improving the lives of children and young people in developing countries. Previous roles include CEO at Gumbi, Dechambenoit & Associates, Senior Director at Albright Stonebridge Group, and Senior Political Officer and Senior Political Advisor at the United Nations. Lawrence's academic credentials include a Master's degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor's degree in Politics from SOAS University of London. Additionally, Lawrence completed an Executive Program at IMD in 2019.
