Luis Carrero Rivero

Luis Carrero Rivero is a highly experienced professional in process safety, currently serving as Principal Advisor for Process Safety at Rio Tinto since October 2022. Prior to this role, Carrero Rivero worked as a Risk Coordinator at Hatch from January to September 2022 and held positions at SABIC from May 2018 to September 2021, including Senior Engineer and Engineer in Process Safety. Additionally, Carrero Rivero gained valuable experience as a Process Risk Engineer at PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. from December 2008 to May 2018. Academically, Carrero Rivero holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Computational Thermoscience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Universidad del Zulia.
