McKenzee O'Neill

McKenzee O'Neill is a seasoned data engineer currently employed at Rio Tinto since December 2024. Prior to this role, McKenzee worked as a dispatch engineer at Newmont Corporation, where supervision of a team of four dispatchers and leadership in implementing Deswik OPS was key. McKenzee has extensive experience in the underground mining sector, having served as an Underground Mine Control Supervisor and Systems Engineer at OceanaGold Corporation, and as an Underground Mine Planning Engineer at Aura Minerals Inc. Earlier roles at Nevada Gold Mines and Newmont Corporation focused on generating production reports and utilizing various engineering tools. McKenzee's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Montana Technological University, completed in December 2018.
