Niki Morton

Niki Morton is a seasoned geoscience data specialist with extensive experience in database management and geological consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Rio Tinto, Niki leads the development of database systems for managing complex data related to Resistivity Indicator Minerals and porphyry copper deposits. Previous roles include working with the Office of the Chief Scientist on carbon storage analysis and contributing to the Climate Change Centre of Excellence on pathways to net-zero emissions. As an independent consultant, Niki specializes in net-zero strategies for private clients. Niki's background also includes consulting for various mining companies, with a focus on geological database management and exploration projects, and an academic foundation in biostratigraphy and palynology from Monash University. Niki holds a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Geology.
