Olivier Martin has over 25 years of extensive experience in the aluminum industry, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Rio Tinto since January 2005. Olivier Martin has held various leadership roles, including Reduction Department Director and Reduction RD domain Director, overseeing teams in Canada and France and specializing in RioExcel and primary aluminum technology development. Prior roles include Senior Technologist Reduction and Senior Reduction Technology advisor, managing large teams and technical projects. Previously, Olivier Martin worked as Reduction Technical Director for Alcan in Europe and Africa and led the Pechiney Technical Assistance team for the start-up of the Mozal Plant in Mozambique. Educational qualifications include an engineering degree from Chimie ParisTech - PSL, with additional studies in strategy and management from London Business School and INSEAD.
