Rahul Gopinath

Rahul Gopinath is a Mechanical Engineer currently part of the Projects team at Rio Tinto, involved in the Asset Management of the New Zealand Aluminum Smelter since April 2022. As a Founding Partner at Vegro Ventures since February 2017, Rahul focuses on integrated organic farming solutions through Aquaponics and water conservation efforts. Previous experience includes serving as a Reliability Engineer at Westland Milk Products and a Service Engineer at GEA Group, where responsibilities included installation, commissioning, and service of various mechanical equipment. Early career roles included service engineering at Safe Technical Supply Company and the Kerala State Electricity Board, managing maintenance and performance analysis of diesel engines. Rahul holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, RIT Kottayam and an MBA in Industrial Management from IIBMS.
