Janice Punzirudu

Janice Punzirudu, SHRM-SCP, has extensive experience in human resources. Janice most recently held the position of Human Resources Director at Riot Hospitality Group since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the People and Culture Manager at Upward Projects Restaurant Group from 2021 to 2022. From 2019 to 2021, Janice worked as the Human Resources Director at the Midlands Authority for Conventions, Sports & Tourism, overseeing various HR functions and implementing HR programs. Janice also worked for Richland County Government as an HR Manager and HR Supervisor from 2017 to 2019, responsible for compliance, benefits strategy, and employee relations. Janice gained experience as a Human Resources Coordinator at Husqvarna Group and the County of Lexington, where they managed leave policies, benefit implementation, and employee programs. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Publix, providing support to the Regional Director, and as an Administrative Assistant at NAS Recruitment Communications.

Janice Punzirudu, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Florida State University between 2005 and 2009. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include the Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in August 2021, the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in July 2021, the Performance Management Innovation (PMI) Certificate from the Human Capital Institute in May 2018, the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in February 2017, the Internal Investigation Certificate Program from the HR Training Center in February 2016, and the Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS) certification from the National Wellness Institute in June 2013.
