Veronica Milenkiy has a wealth of work experience. Veronica began their career in 2002 as a NASA Education Associates Intern at NASA Ames Research Center. In 2004, they were a Summer Intern at Stottler Henke and a Graduate Research Assistant at Harvard University. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Geothermal Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a Research Associate at Harvard University from 2011 to 2018. Veronica then worked as a Data Science Specialist at Kinsa from 2018 to 2020, where they built a forecasting model to predict influenza outbreaks. In 2020, they worked as a Data Science Specialist at Sunbasket, where they built an LSTM model to forecast supply needs for meals delivery. Currently, they are a Senior Data Scientist at Rippleshot. While at NinthDecimal (acquired by InMarket in September 2020), they researched, designed, and built core company products from scratch and developed propensity score methods, bayesian statistics, and clustering models in python and spark, resulting in 14 issued US patents.
Veronica Milenkiy's education history includes a Ph.D in Geophysics from Harvard University, which they completed between 2004 and 2010. Veronica also earned an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University between 2004 and 2007. Prior to that, they earned a B.A in Astrophysics & Earth and Planetary Science with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley between 2001 and 2004.
