Mark Hayter is currently the Director at RISC - V (Risk Five). Prior to this, they spent over 11 years at Google as the Engineering Director for Chrome Hardware. Before Google, Hayter was the System Architect and COO at Agnilux Inc. which was acquired by Google in 2010.
Hayter's career started at DEC in 1994 where they were a part of the Research Staff. In 1999, they became Principal Systems Architect at SiByte Inc. until it was acquired by Broadcom in 2000. At Broadcom, Hayter served as the Hardware Architect and Sr. Engineering Manager until 2003 when they left to join PA Semi as VP of Hardware & System Architect. Hayter left PA Semi in 2008 to join Apple as Director but only stayed for 6 months before leaving to join Agnilux Inc.
Hayter has been instrumental in the development of many hardware products and technologies over their 27-year career. Mark holds over 50 patents in a variety of disciplines including processors, memory systems, I/O and networking.
