Angelo Capossele

Angelo Capossele has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions.

Angelo currently works at RISC Zero as a Staff Software Engineer since October 2022.

Before that, they worked at IOTA, where they held two roles. Angelo started as a Senior Research Scientist in October 2018 and later transitioned to the position of Staff Research Scientist in April 2022. Angelo stayed with IOTA until October 2022.

Prior to their time at IOTA, Angelo worked at Digital Catapult as an IoT Data Technologist from May 2017 to October 2018.

Their career started at Sapienza Università di Roma as a Post-Doc Researcher. During their time there from September 2014 to April 2017, they focused on security, Internet of Things, and underwater communications and networking. Angelo contributed to several papers and collaborated on various projects.

Angelo was also a Security Engineer at Nexse from September 2013 to August 2014. Their responsibilities included developing security solutions for Underwater Sensor Networks and Software Defined Networks (SDN) as part of the European project fp7 sunrise.

Angelo began their academic journey as a PhD student at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in October 2009. Angelo later assumed the role of Research Assistant from October 2009 to November 2010. Angelo continued their PhD studies until their work experience data was recorded.

Angelo's career kickstarted with an Internship at the University of Cagliari from September 2006 to March 2007.

Angelo Capossele has an extensive education history in the field of computer science and security. Angelo pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari from 2004 to 2007. Following that, they completed their Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in security at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Angelo furthered their academic pursuits by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science with a focus on security from the same institution, Sapienza Università di Roma, from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Angelo Capossele has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. These certifications include Cisco IPS Specialist, Cisco Firewall Specialist, Cisco Information Security Specialist, Information System Security (INFOSEC) Professional 4011, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). These certifications were obtained between 2006 and 2008.
