Wolfgang Welz has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and engineering. Wolfgang is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at RISC Zero since March 2023. Prior to that, Wolfgang worked at IOTA for five years, starting as a Student Assistant and eventually becoming a Senior Research Engineer. Wolfgang then joined atesio GmbH as an Optimization Consultant and Researcher from December 2014 until September 2018. In addition, they also worked as a Research Assistant at Technische Universität Berlin from June 2010, and prior to that, they gained experience as a Student Assistant at the same institution from December 2007 to April 2010.
Wolfgang Welz completed their education at the Technische Universität Berlin, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematik from 2010 to 2014. Prior to their doctoral studies, they obtained a Diplom degree in Informatik from 2005 to 2011 and another Diplom degree in Mathematik from 2005 to 2010, both from the same university.
