Kristen Haines

Kristen Haines is an experienced educator and artist specializing in textiles and creative programming for youth. Currently serving as the Youth Makerspace Coach and Program Clerk at Community Libraries of Providence since September 2022, Kristen has developed and taught innovative programs in makerspace studios. With roles at institutions such as the RISD Museum and the Providence Children's Museum, Kristen has designed and facilitated various public programs, workshops, and tours, focusing on art and textiles. Additional experience includes working as a Costume and Textiles Cataloguing Assistant, Teaching Artist, and Fashion Design Educator. Kristen Haines holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design.
