Anuj Mehta

Anuj Mehta serves as the India Investments Lead at Rise Capital since February 2022, where responsibilities include developing and implementing the investment strategy for India, sourcing opportunities, providing portfolio support, and building client relationships within the Indian startup ecosystem. Prior to this role, Anuj founded Mazal, a global B2B trading house for lab-grown diamonds, and worked with Entrepreneur First to lead accelerator operations in India. Anuj's investment experience includes roles at Kalaari Capital, where contributions were made to seed and early-stage investments in Gaming and AgriTech sectors, and engagements with numerous startups such as WinZO and AGNEXT. Anuj has also worked in business engagement and strategy at Housing.com and analyzed investment banking opportunities at Axis Capital. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and being a CPB Scholar at Tel Aviv University.
