Matthew LaValle, M.A. has extensive work experience in the field of developmental disabilities and support services. Matthew began their career at Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) in 2014 as a Direct Support Professional. Matthew then progressed to become a Recreation Therapist from 2016 to 2018, and subsequently a Program Manager from 2018 until the present. Additionally, Matthew worked as a Training Coordinator at DDI starting in 2024. In 2023, they joined Rise Life Services as an Assistant Director, and later assumed the role of Operations Director of OPWDD Services.

Matthew LaValle, M.A. has a diverse educational background. Matthew first attended Suffolk County Community College from 2015 to 2017, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in History Teacher Education. Matthew then pursued further education at the same institution from 2017 to 2018, obtaining an additional AA degree in History. Matthew continued their education at Empire State University, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History in 2020. Following this, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Social and Public Policy from Empire State University in 2021. Currently, Matthew is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at Empire State University, expected to be completed in 2024.
