Michael Stockstad

Michael Stockstad has extensive work experience in the power and energy industry. Michael currently holds the role of VP Asset Management at Rise Light & Power, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at NAES Corporation for 12 years as a Plant Manager. Their responsibilities at NAES Corporation ended in September 2022. Before NAES Corporation, Michael worked at New York Power Authority for 8 years, holding various roles including Manager of Project Development, Power Trader, and Environmental Manager. Michael has also worked at Calpine as an Operations Manager from 1995 to 2002. Their early career included roles as a Gas Turbine Operator at New York Power Authority, a Production Shift Supervisor at American Ref-Fuel Company, and a Nuclear Reactor Operator in the US Navy.

Michael Stockstad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from SUNY Empire State College.
