Linda Brown Williams

Linda Brown Williams has extensive experience in social work and leadership, serving as Retired President/CEO at RISE Foundation, Inc. since November 2008. From 1994 to 2010, Linda held the position of adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work, teaching graduate courses in Human Resources and Child Welfare. Prior to this, Linda was the Administrative District Director for Shelby County at the Tennessee Department of Human Services from December 1972 to August 2008 and served as Program Director at Community Day Care and Comprehensive Social Services Agency from August 1980 to August 1984. Linda earned a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) in Social Work Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Linda is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.
