Amir Khatibzadeh

Amir Khatibzadeh has over 15 years of experience in software development. In 2006, they began their career as a .Net Developer for Neda Pardaz. Amir then moved to Iran Host in 2007 as a .Net Developer, where they worked on an online store builder software. In 2008, they worked as a Software Developer for RahbaranIT, where they managed and designed a billing software for Bill of lading for Iran Railway company, designed and implemented a Report Generator, and participated in the design and implementation of Human Resource Software for Telecommunication Infrastructure co. In 2009, they joined TOSAN (Banking and Payment Solutions Provider) as a Senior Software Developer, where they worked on Tosan's core-banking solution, BANCO. In 2018, they began working as a Software Developer (Research Assistance) and Teaching Assistant at the University of Victoria. From 2019 to present, they have been working at Xplor as a Development Tech Lead, Development Team Lead (Co-op), Senior Software Developer (Co-op), and Software Developer (Co-op). Theirresponsibilities include PerfectMind next-generation services and tools, PerfectFace and Perfect Authentication, and various cloud-integrated services and technologies using Serverless technologies on AWS/Azure cloud services. Amir is also currently working at Rise People as an Associate Engineering Manager, planning, designing, and helping with the migration project, evaluating software solutions and system performance, and supervising the software development team.

Amir Khatibzadeh obtained a Diploma in Mathematics from Bagher al-Olum Higher Education Institution between 1997 and 2000. Amir then earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Software Engineering from IAUM between 2000 and 2005. Finally, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Computer engineering from the University of Victoria between 2018 and 2022.
