Marco Fan

Marco Fan has worked in the software engineering industry since 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Software Developer (L1 and L2) at Accedo.tv, where they designed a Restful API specification for business partners and implemented an in-house OVP using Node.js and Express. Marco also developed JS-based smart TV applications using native JS, Android, and PHP. From 2015 to 2020, they were a Staff Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Web Team Lead at M800 Limited, where they led a team of engineers as a scrum master to develop a JS SDK for IM/VoIP, drove the design and features of the SDK, and supported both internal and external users of the SDK. Since 2020, they have been a Senior Backend Engineer at Manulife. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at Rise People.

Marco Fan completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. Marco then went on to earn their Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the same university in 2012.
