Alissa Murray

Alissa Murray is a Senior Consultant at Susteer since August 2024 and a Senior Advisor at RISE Travel Institute, where Alissa co-created a pilot educational curriculum focused on sustainability and sustainable travel. Previously, as a Program Development Officer at WaterAid America, Alissa managed significant international projects related to water, sanitation, and hygiene, contributing to project design and implementation with a total portfolio value exceeding $10,000,000. Alissa also served as Director of Program Operations at The Sustainability Laboratory, focusing on project management and organizational growth, and founded In Locamotion, a content-creating platform. Early career experiences include roles as Project Scientist II at Trileaf Corporation and Environmental Scientist/Analyst at Potomac-Hudson Engineering, alongside freelance translation work. Alissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Goucher College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development at Stockholm University.
