Rob Monroe has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rob is currently working at Rise8 as a Product Leader since April 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at Mastercard from July 2020 to April 2022, where they held the position of Director of Product Management. In this role, they led cross-functional teams in developing responsible and sustainable product solutions and implemented modern product management practices.
Before joining Mastercard, Rob worked at Boeing from October 2019 to June 2020 as a Group Product Manager. Rob'sresponsibilities included scaling production changes and improving software development practices. Rob also mentored and guided four Product Managers through the Lean Startup framework.
In their previous roles at Boeing, Rob served as a Senior Product Manager and Chief of Staff from January 2019 to December 2019, a Product Manager from January 2018 to December 2018, a Technical Program Manager in 2017, an IT Service Manager from October 2015 to December 2016, and an Agile Product Owner from February 2014 to October 2015.
Rob's earliest work experience was as a Financial Analyst for the F15 Program at Boeing, where they developed cost estimates and supported business negotiations with international stakeholders from February 2013 to February 2014.
Rob Monroe obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Fontbonne University, graduating in 2012. Rob then pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology at Washington University in St. Louis, completing their studies in 2017.
In addition to their formal education, Rob has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Rob obtained the ICAgile Certified Professional certification from Daugherty Business Solutions in March 2020. In May 2020, they became an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner through IBM. Rob further expanded their expertise with certifications such as Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn and Product Management from Cornell University, both obtained in June 2020.
Rob continued to pursue professional development by acquiring certifications in AWS (Amazon Web Services) from LinkedIn, including Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 1 Cloud Concepts, Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 2 Security, Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 3 Core Services, and Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 4 Billing and Pricing, all of which were obtained in June 2020.
Building on their technical expertise, Rob obtained additional certifications including Become a GDPR and Data Privacy Expert from LinkedIn in August 2020, API Product Manager from API Academy in December 2021, and Product-led Certification from Pendo.io in October 2022.
