Senior Vice President at Risilience

Scott Kelly has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and sectors. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President at Risilience since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Economic Advisor at the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment from February 2021 to February 2023. Additionally, they were a Technical Working Group Member at the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative from August 2019 to February 2023.

In terms of academia, Scott has been associated with the University of Technology Sydney since 2016. Scott has held various roles including (Adjunct) Associate Professor, Associate Professor, Research Director, and Research Principal between July 2020 and January 2023. During their time at the university, they worked on economics, data analysis, and sustainable development research, collaborating with organizations across New Zealand, Australia, and Europe.

In the past, Scott also worked at Cambridge Judge Business School as a Senior Research Associate from August 2013 to February 2017. Scott was also a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, serving in that role from 2008 to 2017. During this time, they also held positions as a Junior Research Fellow of Darwin College and a Senior Research Associate at the Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation Research. Before their research roles, Scott was a PhD and MPhil student at the University of Cambridge.

Lastly, Scott began their career as a building services engineering consultant at AECOM from March 2004 to March 2006. Throughout their work experience, they have demonstrated expertise in economics, climate change, sustainable development, and research.

Scott Kelly holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from The University of Auckland in 1999 to 2002. Scott then pursued further education at The University of Auckland, completing their Master of Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Ocean Engineering from 2006 to 2007. Scott Kelly later enrolled in the University of Cambridge, where they obtained an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from 2007 to 2008. Scott continued their studies at the University of Cambridge and completed their PhD in Economics from 2008 to 2012.
