Candis Bowles

Candis Bowles has extensive experience in legal advocacy, particularly in the disability rights field. Bowles currently serves as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer at Rising Communities. Previously, Bowles held multiple positions at Disability Rights California, including Associate Director, Senior Managing Attorney of the Legal Advocacy Unit, Youth Managing Attorney, and Managing Attorney at the Los Angeles Regional Office. Bowles also served as Associate Managing Attorney at Disability Rights California and worked as a solo practitioner at the Law Office of Candis Watson Bowles. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Languages, specifically Japanese, from the University of California, Berkeley, and further studies at the University of Southern California.
