Dirk Pieler

Dirk Pieler has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and industries. Dirk currently holds the position of EVP Business Unit Industry at Rittal GmbH & Co. KG since November 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the CEO of Pintsch GmbH from April 2017 to October 2019. Before that, they were the CEO of Bender GmbH & Co. KG from January 2009 to December 2016.

Pieler also has an extensive background at Siemens, where they held various leadership roles. Dirk was the VP of Business Excellence at Siemens Building Technologies, Security Solutions from May 2005 to December 2008. Dirk also served as the VP of Siemens Learning Campus and SQT from January 2002 to April 2005. In addition, they held the positions of Head of Operations Management at Siemens Business Services Germany from January 2001 to December 2001, Head of Siemens IT Service Academy from April 2000 to December 2000, and Senior Consultant at Siemens IT Service GmbH & Co. KG from April 1999 to March 2000.

Prior to their time at Siemens, Pieler worked as a Lecturer at Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW) from October 1997 to December 1999. Dirk also gained experience as a Senior Management Consultant at BFK GmbH Paderborn from February 1997 to September 1998.

Earlier in their career, Pieler worked as a Project Leader at CTcon GmbH from September 1994 to October 1996. Dirk also served as an Infantry Soldier in the German Federal Armed Forces from July 1988 to September 1989.

Dr. Dirk Pieler pursued their education at Paderborn University, where they obtained a degree in the field of Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen der Elektrotechnik (Automatisierungstechnik) from 1989 to 1994. Dirk continued their academic journey at the same university, completing their doctoral studies and earning a degree of Dr. rer. pol. from 1996 to 2000.
