Dr. Ahmad Abrass

Dr. Ahmad ABRASS has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Dr. Ahmad started their career as a Technical Manager at ASTCO in 2003. Dr. Ahmad then worked as a Software Developer at Technische Universität Darmstadt from 2006 to 2008. Dr. Ahmad continued their work at the same university as a Scientific Assistant from 2008 to 2013. Dr. ABRASS later joined Rittal GmbH & Co. KG as a Project Manager for Software and Embedded Systems from 2013 to 2016, and then as a Team Manager for Software Projects from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they became a Group Leader Industrie 4.0 at ISRA VISION. In the same year, they also started working as a Lecturer at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, which they continue till now. Dr. ABRASS's current position is the Director of RAS Embedded Software at Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, which they have held since 2019.

Dr. Ahmad ABRASS has a strong educational background with degrees in various fields. Dr. Ahmad began their academic journey in 1998 at Jami't Alep, where they obtained a Diplom in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Design and Production Technology in 2003. Following this, they pursued a B.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt from 2005 to 2006.

Driven by a passion for computational engineering, Dr. ABRASS then enrolled at Technische Universität Darmstadt for an M.Sc. in Mechanical and Process Engineering/Computational Engineering, completing the program from 2006 to 2008. Building upon this foundation, they went on to pursue a Ph.D. at Technische Universität Darmstadt from 2008 to 2013, focusing on the development of numerical algorithms to optimize and accelerate the Finite Element Simulation.

Recognizing the importance of business skills in today's professional world, Dr. ABRASS pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Hochschule Darmstadt from 2016 to 2018. This complements their technical expertise, providing him with a well-rounded skill set.

In addition to their degrees, Dr. ABRASS has obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional acumen. Dr. Ahmad obtained the IT Security Officer certification from TÜV SüD in April 2022, the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in March 2021, and the Professional Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum.org in October 2020. These certifications demonstrate their continuous commitment to staying updated with industry standards and acquiring specialized knowledge.
