Laurens Kroon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the food industry. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Salesman at Mulder AGF for four years. In 2010, they served as the President of the Study association Nicolas Appert (Food Technology). Laurens then worked as a Project Employee at Unifarm of Wageningen UR for a short period in 2010. In 2011, they completed their Bachelor Thesis at Food Chemistry at Wageningen UR. As a Project Employee at TOP b.v. in 2012, they gained further experience. In the same year, they started their Master's Thesis at Food Physics at Wageningen UR, which they completed in 2013. Following that, they had an Internship at NIWA from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as an Application Technologist at Phytonext b.v., where they developed an innovative and sustainable extraction technology for bioactive compounds from plants. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Product Technologist at Fruity Line. Currently, they are working as a Process Engineer at Rival Foods starting in 2021.

Laurens Kroon attended Wageningen University & Research from 2008 to 2014, where they earned a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology. Laurens also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Food Technology during the same period.
