Shane L. Hester

Shane L. Hester, CPA has a diverse and extensive work experience that spans over several decades. Shane L. began their career as a Staff/Senior Accountant at McNair, McLemore & Middlebrooks, LLC in 1999. From there, they worked as a Manager at Ernst & Young LLP, contributing to the growth and development of their Utilities and Energy Risk Services function. Shane L. then served as an Audit Manager at Frazier & Deeter, LLC, specializing in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, IT General Control Assessments, and Risk Management compliance. Shane also gained experience as an Audit Manager at Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, where they focused on various compliance areas. Shane L. later joined A-lign CPAs as a Senior Consultant, providing risk advisory and compliance services to clients worldwide. In 2012, Shane became a Consulting Manager at McGladrey before starting their own firm, Shane L. Hester, CPA, in 2015. Presently, Shane serves as the Chief Financial Officer at River Edge Behavioral Health, where they previously held the role of Director of Finance.

Shane L. completed their Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting & Information Technology from Middle Georgia State University, where they were enrolled from 1995 to 1999. Prior to attending Middle Georgia State University, Shane L. Hester, CPA also attended Oglethorpe University from 1993 to 1995, focusing on Business and Accounting studies.
