Katherine Walsh

Katherine Walsh has a diverse work experience in the field of education and inclusion. Katherine most recently worked as the Director of Inclusion at River Learning Trust, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Lead for Inclusion at the same organization from September 2021 to August 2022. Before joining River Learning Trust, Katherine held various positions at nasen, where they served as the Regional SEND Leader and the EEF Project Director for the SEND Review. Katherine also gained experience as an Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at Brookfield Primary School. In the past, they worked in the District of Columbia Public Schools as a Special Education Coordinator and an Autism Teacher. Katherine also held positions at Southfields Community College as a Special Education Needs Coordinator and a Learning Support Teacher. Their early career included a role as a Teacher of the Deaf at Summit Speech School.

Katherine Walsh has a well-rounded education history. Katherine earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The College of New Jersey, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the same institution and completed it in the academic year 2005-2006. Later on, in the year 2011-2012, Katherine Walsh enrolled at the University of Roehampton, where they specialized in Leadership and Management in Special and Inclusive Education.

In terms of additional certifications, Katherine Walsh obtained various qualifications. In 2010, they attained the Qualified Teacher Status from the National College for Teaching & Leadership.
