Jacqueline Dowdy, M.Div, MBA, PH.D, is the President and CEO of Vision in Action Business Solutions, a leadership consulting firm launched in December 2023 that offers services to various sectors including nonprofits and for-profit businesses. With a robust background in leadership and strategic management, Jacqueline previously held the role of CEO at River Region Human Services, Inc. where advocacy in mental health was a focal point. Additional leadership positions include Associate Vice President at Bethune-Cookman University, Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Edward Waters College, and various financial and operational roles at Florida A&M University, NC Central University, and Self Help Ventures Fund. Jacqueline holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and multiple degrees including an MBA and two Master of Divinity degrees from respected institutions.

River Region Human Services has been rebuilding families and restoring communities for more than 40 years in the Jacksonville, FL region. Services are provided in five areas: substance use, mental health, housing, youth and family services, and outreach and community services. Each of these areas is supported by a dedicated staff of professionals who are committed to helping families find their road to recovery. River Region serves the entire Northeast Florida community, including metro Jacksonville and residents of Baker, Clay, Duval, St. Johns and Nassau counties.
