Shaun Mallam has a strong background in pharmacy management and operations. Shaun started their career at Rite Aid in 2007, where they served as a Pharmacy Manager and demonstrated leadership in staff development, operations, compliance management, and auditing. During their time at Rite Aid, Shaun successfully managed a high prescription volume store and adapted to an influx of prescriptions due to the closure of a local pharmacy and insurance coverage changes at other competitors. In 2014, Shaun joined Costco Wholesale as a Pharmacy Manager and Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist. Shaun was responsible for the full P&L and operations oversight, leading a team of staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and cashiers. Under Shaun's leadership, Costco saw consistent revenue and profit growth through increased OTC sales, prescription sales, and pet prescription sales. Shaun also forged a business relationship with Clovis Unified School District to enhance the delivery service. After Costco, Shaun served as the Director of Pharmacy at Coalinga Regional Medical Center from 2022 to 2023 and currently holds the position of Director of Pharmacy at River Vista Behavioral Health since 2023.

From 1985 to 1988, Shaun Mallam attended the University of the Witwatersrand, where they earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.

River Vista Behavioral Health

Along the bluffs overlooking the San Joaquin River, this brand new, 81,600-square-foot, 128-bed facility, will provide accessible, high-quality and advanced behavioral health services to residents and visitors in the Central Valley. River Vista Behavioral Health will provide inpatient and outpatient treatment services to children and adults. One 24-bed unit will be dedicated specifically to pediatric psychiatric care, treatment, services and educational needs, assisting Valley Children’s in addressing the needs of patients presenting to the Emergency Department. The new hospital will employ more than 250 people, including clinicians, nurses, mental health technicians, support staff and administration.
