Riverside Community Care
Joseph Shrand is Riverside’s Chief Medical Officer. He is Board Certified in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine. As the organization’s lead physician, Joe advises on medical services and systems, develops and oversees policy, and has direct clinical care responsibilities in our outpatient centers. Joe is dedicated to helping the people Riverside serves to receive the best care possible in a supportive environment. He is the founder of Drug Story Theater, has published award-winning books, writes blogs for Psychology Today, and can be heard on his weekly radio show. A music lover who plays the piano and writes songs and musicals, Joe was in the original cast of the children’s television series ZOOM.
