Joseph Hopkins

Joseph Hopkins has extensive experience in law enforcement, particularly in investigative roles. Currently serving as a Senior District Attorney Investigator II at the Riverside County District Attorney's Office since August 2021, Joseph previously held the position of Detective III at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) from November 1997 until retirement in August 2021. During tenure at LAPD, Joseph was the Detective in Charge of the Cyber Crimes Section, overseeing investigations related to crimes against persons and burglary, and also supervised the Elder Persons Estate Unit focusing on elder financial abuse. Additionally, Joseph worked as a Community Business Coordinator for LEAPS, LAAORCA, and Cal-ORCA, acting as a public and private sector liaison. Joseph served as a Detective Supervisor in the Real Estate Fraud Unit, investigating incidents of real estate fraud.
