Juergen Maier CBE FRS has a diverse work experience. Juergen is currently the Co-Founder of vocL, a social platform that promotes responsible business voices. Juergen also serves as a Non Executive Director at Innovo Group, a global construction and real estate business.

Previously, Juergen held the position of Chair of the Board at Digital Catapult and Vice Chair at The Northern Powerhouse Partnership. Juergen is also a Strategic Advisor at SamsonVT and a Commercial Partner Custodian Director at Riversimple.

In addition, Juergen has served as a Board Member / NED at The Halle Orchestra, ICC United Kingdom, and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Juergen is the Life President of the North West Business Leadership Team.

Through their various roles, Juergen Maier contributes to the fields of responsible business, construction innovation and technology, digital economy, and cultural organizations.

Juergen Maier CBE FRS has an extensive education history that spans several decades. Juergen completed their high school education at Allerton Grange High School in Leeds from 1978 to 1982. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Manufacturing Engineering at Nottingham Trent University from 1982 to 1986.

In more recent years, Juergen Maier has received numerous honorary doctorates from various institutions. In 2014, they were appointed as an Honorary Professor at The University of Manchester, specifically in the School of Engineering with a specialization in Advanced Manufacturing. Additionally, they are expected to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Science Engineering and Climate Change from the University of Hull, and an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering and Business Management from Lancaster University in 2022.

Furthermore, Juergen Maier has been honored with several honorary doctorates in 2019. These include an Honorary Doctorate in Science, Engineering, and Technology from The University of Sheffield, an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration and Engineering from The Manchester Metropolitan University, and an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Cranfield University.

In 2017, they received honorary doctorates from Nottingham Trent University and The University of Salford, both in the field of Engineering Science. Additionally, in 2016, they were awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering Science by the University of Lincoln.
